Possible Locations for a Lift

Where Can I Fit My Lift?

Identify the location for a possible clear, unobstructed shaft from the lowest to the highest floor. Typically, we explore three main options:

Lift in middle of staircase

By using your staircase air well, the lift integrates seamlessly with minimal structural work.
With a clear space of 840 × 880 mm, the Aritco HomeLift Compact fits comfortably, and handrails can be adjusted to suit the door opening.

Lift in Existing air Well

A skylight air well can be an ideal spot for an addition of lift, with minimal structural work needed.
Typically, the main structural works required involve creating door openings at each level to accommodate the lift access.

coring Through Floor slabs

This option requires coring through existing floor slabs to form a vertical shaft, involving more structural work.
For homeowners considering this solution, we offer a comprehensive, one-stop service that manages the entire process-from structural modifications to lift installation-ensuring a smooth and coordinated experience.

FAQ

If you are facing space constraints and seeking to have the smallest platform lift. A platform lift system will be your solution. This is an common challenge faced in Addition and Alteration (A&A) projects, where owners have to work with limited available space.

Our lift models are fully customisable – the smallest platform lift only require a clear space of 840mm x 880mm to fit the entire lift system, and this includes the glass shaft. This configuration gives you a cabin size of 580mm x 805mm. At 200kg capacity, it is ideal for 2 standing persons.

If you wish to accommodate a wheelchair and 1 standing person, we recommend clear space of 1466mm x 1450mm. This ensures the cabin size of 1100mm x 1400mm and door opening width of up to 900, allowing for wheelchair easy access for wheelchairs.

Aritco platform lifts feature a pitless design, making them ideal for homes and businesses with limited space. Unlike traditional hydraulic lifts that require deep pits and high overhead clearance, Aritco lifts use a screw-and-nut drive system, operating entirely within the shaft.

✅No pit required – Simplifies installation, avoids structural modifications.

✅Minimal overhead space needed – Only 2.35m, making it perfect for compact areas.

✅Easy maintenance – No pit access required, reducing downtime for servicing.

This space-efficient design allows for seamless integration into existing buildings with minimal disruption.

The cost of a home lift starts from $55,000 onwards, depending on:

  • Number of floors/stops
